When you sign up as a trial user or a new subscriber, we now furnish a set of activities and resources that you can use as templates for creating your own data. Eight different generic activities illustrate different activity descriptions that are available using the FAST scheduler. By reviewing these, new users can find an examples of the kinds of activities they want to schedule. Then by copying and editing the appropriate examples, users can quickly create their own data relevant to their environment. Similarly, we provide four different types of resource descriptions. As with the activity examples, getting started with the resource definitions is just a matter of finding the example that you need and editing it. We think this is an easier way to get started than defining these data items from scratch.
The Example-Starter Dataset can also be scheduled. You can practice building schedules, revising schedules, creating conflicts and resolving them, and doing all sorts of what-if analyses. The Example-Starter Dataset can evolve into your real data.
If you are a user already, or if you have been a trial user and would like to have this dataset, please contact us and we will provide it by adding a new domain to your site. If your trial period has expired but you want the Example-Starter Dataset anyway, we will provide it to you and renew your trial period. It’s an easy way to get started!
